The Body of your article
The body of your article is where you tell your reader what you promised to tell them in the Headline and the Introduction. It is also the part of your article where you explain the benefits your reader will get from taking the action you want them to take (at the very end of your article).
Scanning V Reading
However, it is very important to remember that when people read articles they are looking for information and they want this information quickly – they want it now! Also people don’t really read when they are looking for information, they scan the page hoping to see the answer to their question.
So if you want them to read to the end of your article and take the action you want them to take you have got to help them. You have got to give them the information they want in the easiest and quickest way possible.
Benefits Benefits Benefits!
The way to do this is to make sure the body of your article explains all the benefits your reader will get if they take action. Also you should keep your paragraphs short, no more than 3 to 4 sentences to a paragraph. And use bolded subheads and bullet points wherever possible.
